Participation Guidelines
Rule 1. Media Accessibility
All media discussed must be accessible through online or in-person channels.
- An online video clip
- A publicly available PDF or reading
- A page or section from a graphic novel
If there is uncertainty about access, submissions are still encouraged. Assistance may be available in locating an appropriate access pathway.
Rule 2. Scope and Use
Intermix is not an advertising space.
While discussion of new theories, projects, and research is welcome, this is not a space for labor solicitation. Intermix exists for intellectual exchange, not unpaid work. Ideas are shared freely.
Rule 3. Sensitive Material
Please be mindful of sensitive material.
As long as submissions align with the Guiding Principles, no topics are explicitly banned. Each submission is reviewed on a case-by-case basis.
Intermix is open to all adults. Due to the diversity of participants, some content may not be recommended by the organizer.
Ongoing EVENTS are listed on the Intermix website.
Rule 4. Accessibility and Learning
Intermix is open to individuals inside and outside of academia.
Skill-building is a core component of the group. All concepts, regardless of complexity, should be presented in an accessible manner. Hosts should expect and plan to receive questions about foundational material.
Topics may range from theoretical physics, to analyses of urban art history, to the presentation of datasets. Everyone participates as a learner.
